Hello i m relatively new to revit and this forum and i hope i m doing this right.
Revit wall from roof to roof.
In the drawing area highlight an entry wall.
Move the walls to the dormer.
Open the 02 lower parapet floor plan.
My problem ist that when i make a section the outer wall goes into the roof.
You cannot join a roof to more than one top face of another roof.
In this video i show you how to attach the walls in revit to the roof above them.
Create the roof opening and finish the dormer.
On the options bar for overhang enter 600 and select defines slope.
Check out the complete blog post.
Create a sloped roof with an overhang.
Click architecture tab roof drop down roof by footprint.
Select the wall type and constraints for a dormer that will be added to a roof.
The wall must be attached to the target roof and the target roof must be a footprint roof.
Thanks for the help 39377.
You can join roofs to other roofs or walls or unjoin them if they were previously joined.

By attaching a wall to another element you avoid the need to manually edit the wall profile when the design changes.
On the draw panel click pick walls.
Create the dormer roof and join it to the main roof.
