When you cut the rafters you ll need to make 3 separate cuts.
Revit roof rafter cut.
This will allow you to also define fascia depth.
The roof rafters provide integral structural support to the roof.
There are three options a plumb cut.
C two cut square.
To create the desired cut you can use an in place void family on the high roof.
If your fascia depth is selected to be same or more than your roof assembly depth then you ll get a perfect square.
Rafter cut additional options in revit have to do with the termination of the rafters at the eaves.
The ridge cut also called the plumb cut at the top of the rafter the birdsmouth cut.
After creating a roof change the style of the eaves by specifying the rafter cut.

This agacad sneakpeek shows the automated framing made possible by our roof framing tools for revit.
You created a roof that has only one slope defining side.
B two cut plumb.
Before you cut your boards you ll need to measure the width of your building and calculate the exact length of each rafter.
In this example the basic roof has 8.
Solution by design only roof edges that are slope defining are affected by the rafter cut.
When you placed fascia and set the rafter cut of the roof to two cut plumb or two cut square in the roof properties only the slope defining edge was affected.
The default is plumb cut as we have seen in the previous images.
