Limit how often you open and close the awning as overuse on a hot day could cause the motor to cut out.
Resetting the motor stops on a sunsetter awning.
Press the neutral stop button on the remote.
Step 1 push the middle button on the remote control and unplug the awning s power cord from the electrical outlet.
A very specific problem but maybe i m not the only one.
The reset process appears convoluted but when followed closely it will reconnect the remote control with the motor control unit.
The motor could be overheating.
Motor to lose stop position settings which will require resetting the motor stop positions.

A jog is a short back and forth movement of the motor.
From a stepladder locate the limit push buttons on the motor.

If the remote control stops working with the awning it needs to be reset.
Remove four 4 2 phillips screws.
