Now it s time to gently place the metal patch on top of the gutter hole.

Feather the roofing cement out on the surrounding area to flatten any steep edges.

A waterproof sealing product such as ge clear gutter caulk available on amazon is easy to use.
You can then apply a sized piece of metal flashing.
Hold the metal flashing firmly in place until the cement has dried and then test for sturdiness.
Make sure to seal the drop outlet to the gutter with seam sealer.
If a gutter isn t draining properly it s either not sloping toward the downspout or it s sagging and needs to be raised you have to patch any hole right away so it doesn t grow larger.
Use a putty knife to spread the cement generously around the hole.
Patch small holes with roofing cement.
Repair larger holes in gutters by covering them with patches.
Insert the drop outlet in the hole and fasten the new downspout with sheet metal screws.
Gutter repair patches are made of rubberized asphalt and are typically around 4 by 6 in 10 by 15 cm in size.
Locate the hole then remove all loose debris such as moss leaves and twigs from around the damaged area.
Clean around the damaged area with a brush and warm soapy water to remove more stubborn.
Simply squeeze into cracks and holes then apply a further coating around the entire gutter joint.
Bend the strip to fit and embed the flashing in the cement.
